Proven Leaders
Randy Sorrels is respected in the Texas legal community for his commitment to service, serving as the President of the State Bar of Texas from 2019-20 and holding many other leadership roles in the Texas Bar and in Houston.
He has served as the President of the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists, the Houston Trial Lawyers Foundation, the Houston Lawyer’s Referral Service, and the Houston Dispute Resolution Center, Inc., to name a few.
Randy was formerly the managing partner of another local personal injury law firm for over twenty years. He and his wife Alex are very proud to have contributed and help establish the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics at South Texas College of Law Houston, which provide free legal assistance to fellow Texans—specifically 35,000 hours of direct client services valued around $1.8 million annually.
Alex Farias-Sorrels is a trustee of the Texas Bar Foundation—the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the nation—and the Houston Young Lawyer Foundation. The Sorrels’ team of lawyers are similarly committed to serving other lawyers and the citizens of Texas through their leadership roles in various organizations. What matters for the Sorrels team, is that Texas becomes a safer and better place – and their commitment to the community shows that they are invested in the lives of not just their clients, but of all Texas citizens.
